MEET SENATOR BILL REINEKE
Bill, son of William and the late Corrine Reineke, was raised in Fostoria and is the eldest of ten children. All children were graduates of St. Wendelin. Bill attended Morehead State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Bill, a thirty year resident of Tiffin, is particularly proud of his two daughters, Suzanne, married to Weston Reinbolt, both Ohio State graduates and Jacquelyn, a graduate of Xavier University.
Bill Reineke’s managerial experience is as varied as the family businesses. Bill is a business partner with his brothers Dan and Tom, and sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Kerry Mitchell, in Reineke Family Dealerships, with his father, William, Sr., as chairman of the board. The family owns and operates 8 automobile dealerships located in Tiffin, Fostoria, Upper Sandusky, Lima and Findlay and employs 380 full and part time people. The family received the 2010 Excellence in Family Business award from the University of Toledo, Entrepreneurial Business Hall of Fame.
Locally, Bill has served as the Chamber Board Chair, both in 1988 and in 2009. In 2010 he received the “Outstanding Citizen Award” from the Chamber and received the SIEDC outstanding Business Award in 2001. Bill was co-founder and is Vice Chair of Tiffin Tomorrow. Bill is a 30 year member of the Tiffin Rotary Club, a past president of the club and has received the 2008 Rotary Presidential Citation for outstanding service as President and the 2004 Distinguished Service Award.
Bill Reineke is a leader in the automotive area as well, chairing the Ohio Automobile Dealers Association in 2010-2011 and is currently the Ohio Director for the National Automobile Dealers Association.
Bill currently is a member of the Heidelberg Board of Trustees and a member of St. Joseph’s Church. Additional previous leadership roles include the United Way Campaign Chair, Calvert Catholic Schools Annual Appeal Co-Chair, Mercy Hospital Board and St. Francis Foundation Board.
