Farmers for Bill Reineke

Dear Fellow Farmer,

We are writing this letter to express our support for Bill Reineke for state representative of the 88th Ohio House District. We think it is important to show unity behind a candidate who we believe represents the values of the farming community in Seneca and Sandusky counties.

First and foremost, the job of our state representative will be to do what is best for the people of the district. Because agriculture is so vitally important to so many families in Seneca and Sandusky counties, it makes sense for us to elect someone who shares our values and who will stand up for economic policies that will strengthen our region.

Being a business owner himself, Bill Reineke understands the needs and challenges that small businesses, such as family farms, face on a day-to-day basis. This experience and knowledge will pay significant dividends at the Statehouse when he is serving as our districts voice.

As farmers, we believe that Bill Reineke is the best choice to represent us in Columbus because he stands on the right side of the issues. He supports the elimination of the estate tax, or “death tax,” which was passed and signed into law a couple of years ago. This tax was detrimental to the state, and particularly to small family farms, which struggled to stay in business after the property owner died.

Bill Reineke understands the harmfulness that high taxation presents to families and businesses in general. He knows that keeping more money in the pockets of the people who have earned it benefits the community as a whole.

Just as important as being on the right side of the issues is the ability to seek varying viewpoints and listening to alternatives. When he does not know the answer to a question, he does not hesitate to ask because he is interested and he cares about doing what is best to help our community succeed. This is what people deserve out of their elected leaders.

The 88th House District will be fortunate to have someone like Bill Reineke representing us in Columbus. We believe he will be a strong, principled voice for farmers and he will work hard each day for every resident of Seneca and Sandusky county.

Sincerely,

Douglas and Holly Stacy
